There are some things I know for certain and they are the following:
I know that the Bible is God's Word and it doesn't contradict itself and all of it is important, not just what we choose to believe and follow.
I know that Jesus was the Word made man, and that it is a living word.
I know that Jesus died for my sins and rose again and that He sits at the right hand of God.
I know that God answers our prayers in His time, not ours, and by His will not ours.
I know that God never leaves our side. So if you are a child of God and doing things you shouldn't do, God is there with you watching, and you should feel guilty and convicted of your sins.
I also know that God forgives us, even when we are a Child of God and do things we shouldn't, but you need to get on your knees and ask for that forgiveness.
I know that God puts people in our path at the right time and when we need them the most.
I know that without a doubt, God brought my husband, Norman and I together, otherwise we would never have met.
I know that God has a plan for us.
I know that God will take care of us, no matter what.
I know that God loves me more than I will ever be able to understand.
I know that that my place in heaven is secure and that one day I will see everyone that I love, and that has died, again.
I know that He sees what is in my heart, and He knows what I need and want.
I know that if He comes back for me tomorrow, that I am ready. Are you?
John 3:16 (King James Version)
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I will be using this blog to talk about the word of God and inspirations, my spiritual growth and testimony. Although, I've been a Christian since 1974, I've never stayed in the word of God. I've read the Bible and I did study one semester at Criswell College in Dallas, Texas. Please visit often and see how my progress is going, learning and living in God's World. This is also where I will be taking you on my journey through Recovery.

Has Your Heart Been Hardened?
Most people know the story of Moses, or as some people like to refer to it, The Ten Commandments. In the bible, Exodus, it talks about Moses and Aaron going to Pharaoh, but Pharaoh's heart was hardened and he refused to let the Israelites go. I think some times in our lives every one's heart because hardened at some time or another and you may not even realize it. It can be from being hurt by friends, family, co-workers or any one you may know. It could be a slight against your name, a cross word said, or something done that causes you to stop trusting, or it could be because some one takes advantage of you over and over. Whatever the reason, your heart becomes hardened and you become an untrusting, bitter soul. I just realized I was that person, and although I love my family, friends, and old co-workers, I am not or have not been able to really trust anyone in a long time. I guess it came back to being told over and over again, how rude, crude and abrupt I was, but that was because I'd been slapped in the face many, many times. Thought I was going to be commended or promoted only to be told I lack a quality that they felt was needed. Or I loaned people money and never got it back. However, over the last few months, I realized I'm receiving back what I gave over and over again. I will never be able to thank my family, Mara, Julia, Caity, Raven, and Momma enough for what they have done for me over the last few months, weeks. If it had not been for them we would not have had food in the cabinets or we might have been evicted, or not had any electricity. I know that God is working very hard in my life these days. I know that the part time job over at the church is where I need to be. I know that God is taking care of us, through my family and our church family. I want God to "chisel" away at the bad parts, and hold my hand and show me where and what I need to do. I know He is going to make it possible for us to move back to the pecan orchard, have utilities, and I know He is guiding my business with Vince, and that it will be what brings us through, when my husband's license are not renewed because of his wreck. All is in God's hands. It is God's battle and He will be victorious, and I want to be proof for those who do not know Him as their personal saviour. I want people to see what God can do for them.
Maybe it is time you search your heart and soul. Your heart might be hardened and you might not know or understand why? Pray. Talk to God. Ask Him for Help. Thank Him for what He has done in your life, even for those things that you might not realize He has directed. It some times takes a slap up beside your head before you see it. May God Bless You All. Love, L

The Ultimate Picture of Love
Sometimes, well most times, I'm truly amazed when God sends something my way. I'm growing daily in His word and sometimes I get the education where I'm not really expecting it. My little sister, I call her Brat, sent this in an email today. I wanted to share it with everyone. I'm so overflowing with the Holy Spirit and God today. I'm truly amazed that there are people who do not believe in the Almighty God. I feel sorry for them and truly hope I can touch someone with my writings. Here is the email, my sister sent, Enjoy and feel free to copy and send out from my post or email me and I'll forward you a copy. May God smile upon each and everyone who reads this or shares it with someone else. My sister's real name by the way is Mara. Please say a little prayer that she will continue to help me grow in my journey with God. Love, L.
What is the ultimate picture of love? It is Jesus Christ hanging on the cross for our sins. How are his arms placed? Open wide, as if to reach out and wrap us in his arms for a hug. How do we show people we love them? By giving them a hug. Every time we open wide our arms to hug someone, we are telling them we love them, just as Jesus showed his love for us. We don’t have to give people hugs. I’ve never seen someone being forced to give a hug. Sure, they can go through the motions but their arms never open wide to receive the other person in to their space. An open armed hug, is saying to people, “I am opening myself up to you. I can be hurt, but that’s ok. I’m receiving you and anything you bring into my space with acceptance and love. I am making a sacrifice for you. I want you to know I am giving you a part of me that I can never get back. I am making myself vulnerable to you.
That’s what Jesus was showing on the cross. He was saying, “I am opening my arms wide for you, all of you. You can step into my arms and receive my love. I don’t hold it back from anyone who takes it. It is my gift. Some of you will hurt me, but that’s ok. I accept you and anything you bring into my arms. I love you unconditionally. I am your refuge from all the pain in the world. My arms will never close.”
Every time I see arms wide open, I now see Jesus on the cross. It is a picture of love beyond our human understanding. It is a picture of something I want to learn to give and receive. When we stand and praise the Lord, we raise our arms open wide to Him. We are telling Him, we love you and want to give and receive a hug today. How many times have you looked at someone close to you, and said “I need a hug today”. Did you feel their love? How much greater the love when you stop in your day, look at the Lord, and say, “I need a hug today”. As a parent, have you ever told your child, “No, I’m out of hugs today.” God won’t tell us that either. Sometimes, when I feel I’ve been battling hard, I just go to my prayer bench, lie across it, and ask God to wrap me in his arms and hug me close. It’s soft as cotton and cool as a breeze in spring. It is sweet as candy and fragrant as flowers. I can rest in the comfort of knowing that all I have to do is ask Him for a hug. I will find rest.
Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
